4DS Class Art Assembly
On Thursday 21st March, class 4DS held their creative art assembly. The children showed a variety of their artwork, including Titanic posters, the Fish display and a celebration of Turner's art to their parents and carers. The whole class really enjoyed sharing their artistic skills with the adults. Thank you to all those who came to celebrate and share our art today.
3/4 Dance Performance
What a celebration of dance, music and song! The children held two performances in school, showing amazing talent and flair. Congratulations to all those who took part.
Multiplication Challenge!
Congratulations to all those children who passed their Multiplication  Challenge!
World Book Day 2019
We celebrated World Book Day this week with costumes, sharing reading experiences and a whole school assembly. The children really enjoyed talking about their favourite reading books. It was wonderful to see the costumes, many home made!
Fun Run!
We celebrated our fitness by taking part in a Fun Run in the sun! After warming up with the other 3/4 classes, we ran around our track to build up our stamina and enthusiasm for running. We were presented with medals afterwards!
4DS Class Reading Assembly
We celebrated our love of reading in our class assembly today, inviting our parents and adults into Pennoweth Library to share a book with us. Our challenge from the assembly is to create our own 'reading den' at home, a fun and exciting place where we can enjoy reading.
We learned about mining in Cornwall when Iain visited us from the Cornish Studies Library. The children experienced various artefacts, photos and maps and took part in a mining challenge!
In Art, we have been studying Mexican ceramic tiles, drawing and painting designs ready for using as inspiration when we make our own clay tiles.
We celebrated our mining topic with a workshop given by Clint from Geevor Mine. He explained to the children what life down a mine would have been like, and they had the opportunity to handle a range of mining tools and clothing.
Our children celebrated the start of the Autumn term's topic with a Mexican Launch Day! They dressed up in Mexican themed costumes to enjoy a range of Mexican learning opportunities, including cookery, learning languages, art and geography.
