A very warm welcome...

What an amazing start to the new school year!   After such uncertain times, it has been so lovely to welcome you all back to school!  The children have been fabulous this week and they should all be extremely proud of how well they have settled into their new class and new routines.   Thank you for your patience, support and understanding too!

Useful reminders:
Reading books - home reading books will be issued and exchanged on Mondays and Thursdays only.  Please return the completed book to school on Monday and Thursday and a new book will be issued.  If your child has finished reading their book before the exchange day, please encourage them to reread it.  This will help to develop their reading fluency as well as deepen their level of understanding.  You could also encourage them to draw a picture and to answer questions about the text such as: who, what, where, when, why and how.

PE - Our full PE lesson is on a Thursday.  Children should come into school wearing a full PE Kit (it does not need to be school PE kit). They may remain in their PE kit all day.

Bags and coats - at this time of year the weather is changeable so, if possible, please send in a coat and hat every day.  As we are keen to limit other items brought into school, please ensure that children only carry essential items in their school bag e.g. named water bottle, packed lunch, glasses etc.
