Meet the Team

Mr R Adams

Head Teacher

I would like to welcome you to our school and to the school website.

I took over as acting Head Teacher in January 2012 and was appointed as the permanent Head Teacher at Easter 2012. I quickly realised that Pennoweth is a good school with lovely children and dedicated staff. The school environment is well cared for and the resources at the school are good.

There is no doubt that at Pennoweth we strive to be the best we can and do the very best we can. We are all aiming high!

Pennoweth School is located at the heart of the community and, as a school, we aim not only to serve the community but be the pride of the whole community.

If you would like to find out more about our school and the work we do here, please have a good look through our website or, better still, telephone the office and come and have a ‘guided tour’.

We have divided our school into three ‘Transition Phases’ and these are organised geographically in the school to enable activities, teaching and improving standards to be closely co-ordinated.

Mrs Kelly Nicholls

Year 2 Teacher

Hello. My name is Mrs Nicholls and I love working at Pennoweth, with such dedicated staff and friendly children. I joined Pennoweth in September 2012 and taught in upper Key Stage Two for five years. However, since returning from maternity leave in September 2017, I now have the pleasure of teaching in Year 2, alongside Mrs Shami.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, especially my husband and son Alfie. During the week, I also make time for my hobbies, which include Zumba and netball. I was born in Cornwall and I love where I live; I feel so fortunate to be raising a family in such a beautiful part of the world.
