Outside learning (Nursery/Reception)

Outside learning is an important part of the children's daily learning routine in the Nursery and Reception classes. When being an outside learner children have the opportunity to access a range of activities and experiences that develop their skills in all areas of the EYFS curriculum.
Children are able to access the outside learning area in all weathers and at all times of the day. This is not a 'playtime' with a start and end time. There are no bells to signal when learning must begin and end but an opportunity for children to learn at their own pace at either a self initiated activity or with some gentle guidance from an adult.
Our outside learning environment is a safe and stimulating space for children to explore. The activities provided encourage children to develop their confidence and independence as well as other important life skills such as resilience.
