Sponsored Fun Run in aid of Little Harbour, Children's Hospice South West

1st October 2016

Recently our children, and some staff, took part in a charity fun run, for Little Harbour Children’s Hospice and The Three Bears Project, took place on the lower school field, and it was a great success. The atmosphere was amazing and the event was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Children from our after school running club took part in the sponsored run; some children ran one mile while others ran two miles. Despite it being a challenge for some, we were amazed by the resilience of each and every child, not one gave up and they all completed the run – they should all be very proud of their achievements! We would like to thank the children for their efforts, as well as parents, carers, family, friends and staff who supported the event. Special thanks also goes to the Redruth Health Shop who donated one hundred free healthy snacks and Santander who have agreed to match whatever total we raise.

We’ve already received some sponsorship money from individuals, ranging from a few pounds to an impressive £311, but we ask that all outstanding monies are brought into school on Monday, as we look forward to presenting our worthy charities with our donations very soon. We will of course let you know how much has been raised in the newsletter next week. Look out for more pictures from the event on our school website next week.
