Y56 Maths Challenge

Y56 Crofy Maths Challenge
A team of great mathematicians set off from Pennoweth to enjoy a day of maths challenges at Heartlands. We were one of eight teams competing for the trophy. Our team consisted of Luk, Cayden, Gvidas, Leo, Jennifer and Rhiana.
The first part of the challenge was to find 14 clues dotted around the Heartlands site and then we had to answer all the questions. We had to use iPads as the clues were QR codes, so that was the first challenge, figuring out how to do that! The questions involved many aspects of maths, calculating, measuring, estimating and more.
After lunch, and a short time oat the playground, we started part two. This involved a carousel of challenges inside the room. We were a little slow getting into our stride but were flying at the end.
Part three was a Kahoot challenge and each school team was split into two smaller teams. Pennoweth came first and second, a great results.
After a nerve wracking 5 minutes waiting for the results to be calculated, we were so proud that we had come second. A great achievement, well done.
