Y6 Presentation Evening

1st July 2017

Once again the end of the academic year is upon us and it was time to say goodbye to our Y6 pupils. The evening started off with drinks and canapes, all excellently prepared by HELPP. As the children arrived in their finery they were welcomed by the Y6 teachers and had their photographs taken on the red carpet, before moving on to the refreshments. Once everyone had had sufficient the presentations started in the school Hall.
The first award was given by the Redruth Charity Trust, and this was won by Oliver.  Not only did he receive £50 of tokens for WH Smith the school also received a cheque for £250 to spend on books for the library. After this the children performed two songs and received a rousing round of applause. The many more awards were interspersed with more entertainment. We were lucky to have the opera singer Caroline Childs present and she gave an amazing performance of Ave Maria, whilst a group of Y6 boys performed a dance routine to Symphony by Zara Larson.
The evening was rounded of with all of the leaving children receiving a sweatshirt with all of their names on them. Even though the evening was hot they all left wearing their hoodies!
We wish them well in their future endeavors and hope they will pop back in to see us to tell us how they are doing.
